It's so discouraging to have a low milk supply while babies in the nicu

Thanks ladies. The water things not a problem it's all I drink and I drink a gallon a day.

I'll try looking up plexus and the cookie milk supply cookies.

I've tried fenugreek and blessed thistle.

@bashlilymommy92, alot of women have tried Plexus and it's helped and also making sure you keep up your water intake.. I'd look into milk supply cookies there are tons of different recipes for increse milk supply

At least you still have some. that's a good sign

Yes I pump whenever I'm there. I only get about 2-3 Oz

My supply actually started dropping within the last few days.

do you pump while in nicu? it really helps to be with your baby when feeding no matter what kind. I worked 10 hours a day while breast feeding I understand how hard the milk supply problem can be.

she dislikes skin to skin because she gets sweaty and when she does she scream cries and her monitor goes off over and over. I'm waiting for her to take 80% of bottles so we can start breast feeding.

see if the nicu will allow you to do skin to skin while your there to feed. most of them will and it will help with your supply and help the baby with temperature control
