I am pro-life 100%. the main thing I have trouble understanding is that a human life can be a matter of opinion. "it's not a baby until the mother says it's a baby" just the way I see it (and I really don't see how anyone could see it any other way) no matter what stage of life you are at, you would not exist without that stage. whether you are a "clump of cells" or a "wad of tissue" you wouldn't be here if you weren't one of those things first. embryo, zygote, fetus. they are all stages that we have all gone through and would not be alive without. therefore they are stages of LIFE. therefore they ARE life. even if there is no heartbeat yet. even if there are no brainwaves. those are just things that develop. I can compare it to teeth. you aren't even born with all your parts. if you measure life by whether or not you have all your parts then you usually have a while to go even after birth until you are a person. and some say if you can't survive outside the womb then you are not a person. there are many stipulations outside the womb that we can't live without. oxygen, food, shelter, some have allergies, some don't have immunities. and for the first several years of our lives we are dependent on others to take care of us. so no matter what you don't just pop out of the womb with instinctual survival skills. at least not in full. a baby will die without the support of the placenta. a baby will die without the support of the mother (or any other older human in general).

what's even crazier is if they find a single cell organism on some distant planet they call it life but a cell that's growing and multiplying and has life is not considered life or human. makes me sick.

Just my commentary(no offense) but... A baby at certain stages is completely different from a human. At first trimester, its biologically different than even a baby in 3rd trimester. Life... I think is subjective because you can say the same thing about brain dead adults. Are they alive? Its a discussion you cant fully define. Scientists still cant define life. BUT biology does classify what a human is. But if you take a fully intact fetus from the womb and compare it at conception vs 40 weeks its not the same organism. Ill take person opinion aside and just speak on science its not the same. Whether we feel its right or wrong you cant just disregard science

you are right. it isn't the same thing. but a full term baby can't exist without first being a fetus. and there are so many other changes that a person goes through after birth. a newborn isn't the same thing as an adult. we all change. we continue to develop until the day we die.

@maxx a newborn and a full adult have the same biological makeup. They are classified the same. And yes a fetus develops to a baby but its the same as an egg. Your scrambled eggs arent chicken nuggets. Kind of a crude analogy but.... Yea. And also the change is physical not biological. A female baby sexually matures as she gets older and grows but doesnt change to another form. Humans are also born with the exact same parts they die with. Just bigger

an unfeetalized egg is not human yet. once it is fertalized it is. conception makes a life. I just have trouble seeing how that's an opinion. that's all. I will always be pro-life. and others will be pro-choice. I just won't ever understand. every argument I hear lately is either uneducated (which yours is not but many are) or they are "opinion" that I really don't get because I see my "opinions" as facts. which I think is the main problem in the entire argument. no one can agree on the difference between facts and opinions. and that's on both sides. not just one. I disagree with every pro-choice argument just as much as every pro-choice argument disagrees with a pro-life argument
