@danamarie, yup. it's in my religion to circumsize. God made reasons behind it. Stays cleaner and thus less infections

me either, and I am not doing my second son either.

I've talked to a few guys that their parents did it that way and most wish that they would have done it when they didn't remember it

medically Circumcision is supposed to be done because it can cause infection...there are plenty of men who didn't get it done who have to later on when it hurts beyond measures just understand this is very very very disrespectful to many of us mothers if you don't like the idea than you don't but guess what when you have your son who is going pain or doesn't clean correctly you remember why you chose not to. it has nothing to do with being lazy or religion. its mothers making the smart decision to stop her son from going through problems later on in life!

did you know that when they become adults it hurts worse to get curcumsied? js once he gets older I highly doubt it'll get done. I have 3 boys & the only one I got curcumsied was my last baby not cause I'm "lazy" but because my second son has had A LOT of problems he had to get curcumsied last year at age 3 because he was always getting utis not because I'm "lazy" but because it just didn't work out for him my oldest isn't & I've never had problems with his weenie but I kind of regret not getting it done because I wouldn't want him to go through it when he's older.

I think of it kind of matter of factly..... Ive seen a lot of penises. The circumsized men ive been with have no issues or hang ups from being cut. I have been with uncircumsized men who express difficulties.

I'm not arguing with anyone, just stating my personal opinion as you have stated yours. I'm leaving this post now as I don't want to contribute to it getting out of hand.

Saying that they are lazy is just like saying women formula feed just because it hurts I think it's good for you to give your opinion WITHOUT being negative I'm going to circumcise my son because to many boys I know about had infections that I don't want my child to have. Every body has a diff story and diff back ground and diff reasons why they do what they do why would you bring people down for that?

To avoid conflict you should post that you are referring to some mothers in your life instead of grouping everyone together. Like I said I'm not arguing, but my child's father and I have our reasons for getting the procedure done for our son and none of the reasons include being lazy.

@anqiee323, ...really?? ur real ignorant for even sayin what u did...his choice yes but as they get older it will cause him more pain... thats y the Drs suggest if ur going to do it do it when they r young because they have no feeling down there...also I know grown ass men that wish their Mom would have done it. Infections r no joke and I dont see u cleaning his penis when hes 13 and "lazy" as u wanna call it...My son is circumcised and very happy I made that choice!

there are also religious reasons for which parents choose circumsion. calling them lazy is pretty disrespectful to their decision to adhere to their religion's traditions and norms. Voicing your opinion is one thing, intolerance of others is another.

My uncle was not circumcised as a baby or child and he recently had to get circumcised because his penis hole closed completely. He couldn't urinate normally for several weeks. They had to do a series of procedures to allow him to release his urine before they could even circumcise him. He's almost 80. Much rather deal with it early on.

lol im not calling all of them lazy... i know some people have some good reasons to do it... but the PEOPLE I KNOW just have dumb reasons ladies dont get all butthurt... cause this post doesnt go for all of u...even tho i said " I ddnt circumcize my son thats not my choice its his in the future

If you choose not to do it then more power to you, good for you! But it's harsh to condemn everyone who has a different opinion on the matter saying they are all lazy and mutilating their child. That's a little over dramatic imo (not arguing, just debating)

also my sister waiting until her son was 3 to get him circumsized he was in a lot of pain and complications and the doctor said it wouldn't have been that hard on his body had he gotten it earlier so not lazy that's offensive some moms just know all the facts and risk of things and thats what they base there decisions off of

Wow. If you really want to share your opinion that's great, but there are ways to do it without putting others down.

Choosing to circumcise is not me mutilating my child either. It's a personal choice for every family. I left it up to my child's father because he is a man. My son is also a man. (A very tiny man).

That is a very big leap to say that choosing differently than you is mutilation.

I am having a son and I'm getting him circumsized because it can cause complications if you wait until they are older and while they are babies it can actually cause infection.

I honestly don't believe any mother who chooses circumsion does so because they can't be bothered to clean their child's body. That's a pretty silly assumption.

We will not be circumcising because of the research I've done and also because it is my son's body and his choice as to what is done with it- not mine. However, I don't think people do circumcise because they are lazy. Everyone has their own reasons, let's not jump to harsh accusations that may be taken offensively.

.You don't know everyone's situation - some people do it for religious reasons not just hygienic. You should think twice before posting such an ignorant statement.

I'm doing it not out of laziness but just because 2 little boys in my family are uncircumcised and they are always dealing with infections:/ and they are at the age where they go to the bathroom on their own...but I think either way is fine!

Wow. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but my son is circumsized and it has nothing to do with me being too lazy to take care of him. I'm happy for you that you did what you wanted with your son. But just because my son is circumsized does not automatically make me to lazy to clean him. Kind of rude.

Lol that's not why I got my son circumsized. Not once in my head did I think before hand, "I won't feel like cleaning his penis so I'm cutting his skin off". Mothers who circumsize their sons aren't bad mothers just like mothers who formula feed and not breastfeed.
