@jaspermama I had stop breastfeeding but I still produce a tiny bit to squirt out and I did that last night lets just say his eye is improving
Hope it gets better, @mahkaimommy I hate to see any baby in any type of situation. Babies shouldn't go through nothing.
If you're breast feeding put a drop of breast milk in his eye. It'll clear up the discharge in a day. My son had the same thing and the breast milk worked wonders. 😊
@jennatess I sure will , @faithfullness88 yeah on his one month appointment I'm bringing it up to the doctors and will go from there
Take him to a Optometrist. He still might need something for the discharge.
@mahkaimommy, that's a good idea. Until then, the massaging may clear it up. Be sure to mention to the doctor that he did have a blocked duct, even if it goes away. They will want to add that to his file. (:
@jennatess yeah long as he wasn't looking irritated I was going to wait until his first month appointment next week
@mahkaimommy, you're right, I think! Whenever it gets all gunky, rest a warm washcloth on the eye, that should clean it up. It should go away shortly, if it doesn't, I'd make an appointment to be seen. This is so common though, I wouldn't worry too much! 😊
@Jennatess omg thank you , I knew it had to be cause his eye isn't pink or irritated it's just really watery and has mucus throughout the day.
Looks like it. Poor little one! Twice a day, with either a clean finger or a warm soft washcloth, massage downward starting at the top of the nose, on the side of the which eye it is, and stoke downward. That should loosen and open it up.
