We FINALLY made it back from my grandparents. A five hour car ride there, just so we could endure some high emotions whilst cleaning out my grandparents home. My grandfather got to meet my son. Although neither of them will remember this day (my grandfather is 95 years old and suffers from early onset dementia--and its deteriorating his mind faster than we expected it to) I am glad he got to meet my son. I'll tell of my memory haul in the morning. Until then little piglet and I are headed to bed. Goodnight all.
must be a great feeling To know that when his soul has passed and the years gone by , you still have this beautiful picture to look at and have as a memory. God bless. 💜👼
That's sweet. He doesn't even look 95! My grandmother is in the 2nd stage and by the grace of God her memory is well. She repeatedly ask the same questions but she realizes that she has.
I know the feeling. my naunny (great grandmother) will 102 in a few days and has dementia bad. my family shows her pictures of me and my baby girl and she gets happy but she won't remember. my hope is to see her before she passes. make as many memories as you can.
my family made a calender for my great grandma with Alzheimer's that had pictures of family members and their names for her. you should make him something similar (: then he has a new (to him) happy memory when he looks at whatever it is.
