Does everyone get another ultrasound closer to when the baby is due just to check on the baby and see about weight? Or…

Yeah my son has been head down my entire pregnancy and I just got an ultra sound at 35 weeks to check his position because sometimes they flip! You usually find out the weight then also! I would just ask your doc at your next visit! But I have a feeling you will get one 😊

He has been head down since I was about 23 weeks along cause I had 3 ultrasounds cause of his heart and I also had a 4D ultrasound I paid for, and each time he has been head down, I'm just wondering his weight and to make sure blood flow is okay and everything. They usually do to check baby's position and see if they are head down and ready to come out! It really doesn't have anything to do with insurance it's more about what your doctor wants to do. But if you don't, your baby will be here before you know it!

they should considering all the ultrasounds was necessary to keep a mointor on his heart u Dr should do one more to make sure he is head down before u give birth

I have Medicade/unicare insurance. And I've had like 4 ultrasounds but that's only cause of his heart needing to be checked. And I hope they do one more that way I know he's okay and not to big... me yatts_mommy_0106

depends on your insurance I have medical and they only pay for two so I got one when I first found out to see how far I was and one at 20 weeks and that was it

My insurance only pays for 2. One for dating and the other for anatomy. My Dr said only in cases of emergency my insurance will pay for a third

I wish I could have at least one more day around 36 weeks just to make sure he's growing okay and to check on everything... I had an ultrasound at 12weeks5days, and I've had like 4 more but that's because they had to do a heart scan and he wouldn't open up so I had to keep coming back... usually you get one around 36 weeks to see if baby is head down and a guesstimate of baby's weight and to make sure baby is measuring out on time

you shouldn't be nervous to ask ! this is ur baby they shouldn't be rude about it , have you tried going to an ultrasound place?

how many ultrasound have u gotten so far? because i know the most I've seen some people get is 4 , if I'm correct.

I had my last one at week 20 (the anatomy one) and been that would be the last one in case everything is going well. I'm extremely concerned with that, especially given the fact that all my pregnant friends living in Europe having a quick check ultrasound each visit to their obgyn (usually once a month). It takes like 5 minutes, doctor usually checks the umbilical cord, placenta and blood supply, the amount of amniotic fluid and gives and estimation about baby's size and weight. I'm really surprised nothing like that being done for us😕

I wish I got an ultrasound every visit. Only extra ultrasound I've gotten is when he wasn't moving right. And my doctors are kinda mean so I just go in and let them do what they need and leave. :/ @jayviensmommy15

it depends ask ur doctor , i get an ultrasound every visit just ask they should let u know
