My baby girl s face is darker than the rest of her body due to too much pressure on her face while pushing we see her pediatrician later on this morning but I still feel like its my fault makes me blame myself I feel terrible about it and she has some redness on her eyes makes me sad . Plus she doesn't like breastfeeding she s not latching well she pushes away alot nurse said my nipples were too big for her little name that made me feel terrible even the nipple shield didn't help much. I just want to be the best mom I can be for her.
@jenii , ok thanks and no I definitely do not want to give up on breastfeeding
@bria.k no I went natural no meds when it was time to push and thanks I thought the too big nipple comment was false but wasn't sure.
My daughter had the brown blood vessels in her eyes to and she was super red don't worry its all normal and will go away. my daughter's blood vessels that broke in her eyes took the longest to go away.
She'll learn. A lot of babies don't latch right away. That redness will go away. You are a great mom. You did what you had to to get get here. The baby doesn't get the epidural. Don't worry baby is fine.
the redness don't worry about it! my daughter was born like that she even had a few broken blood vessels in her eyes because of the strain when I was pushing she's better now, and don't give up on breastfeeding if it's what you really want I have 2 children my first child latched on quick my daughter had some trouble she just turned a month old
I just read you had pitocin, that could be a factor in it as well. Don't give up momma you're strong you just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. You can do anything!!
Oh my gosh! Your nipples aren't too big. Baby will learn, you just need patience. If she's having trouble there may be something else wrong. Also if you had pain meds and an epidural baby is less likely to be successful at breastfeeding until the drugs wear off. She gets them, too.
@mdomke22, ok thanks good to know this is something that can just happen but will eventually go away.
