@bsummers, talk to them about paying deposit then the next check paying rent and moving in... Ive lived without electric before... it best to do it separately than none at all!!

OMG you wouldn't believe the luck (actually your the only person who probably would ) we actually probably got excepted for the apartment but can't afford the deposit and if we somehow afford it we have no furniture or no money to turn on electricity... Ugh.....

we chose the hotel room and gave up the car. we can catch a bus for a total of $5/day...

same here. we put in for another apartment we should hear back Wednesday or Thursday my hubby so optimistic but it's like I just can't be I already know We're not gonna get it cuz the way our life's have been the last 4 months I don't see anything good happening! 😭😭😭

@bsummers, we got pulled over earlier. Car got impounded, so to get the car out, well be back in the tent for the next 2 weeks starting on tuesday :/ and now I have 2 tickets for trying to get to work :/ looks like we have about the same luck!

we finally found an apartment we can afford put in an app for it and then got denied... said we were 20 points away from being excepted. now idk what we are gonna do. shelters are all full here and the cheapest motels here that have roaches and bed bugs are around $400 a week!!!

@firstbaby_girl, we can go to the library the days we have gas but quite frankly were out of gas until Monday :/

@faithfulness88 with my husbands availability, he doesnt have enough time really. no one will hire him. if he could find a weekend job, itd be great but he works mon-fri 6-4.

@bsummers were still driving with no tags or insurance. have been for a month. have no choice. were staying 22 m from work. first it was a tire. next it was radiator. now its cvs joints. gotta love it... what doesnt kill us only makes us stronger though!

Well I know for sure when you have your baby it will be fully covered. I'll pray for you. And honestly maybe your boyfriend should look for another job until you guys catch up money wise. He is the man and he needs to put in extra work to make it better for you guys. He sees you guys are struggling then he needs to make something happen. Sometimes you have to do a little more even when you don't want to. Stay strong. Good luck.

it would be great if the storm would pass. that's what We're doing now if we can just get an apartment I know we can work our way back up to how we were. our situation started with moving back to our home town then before we could get on our feet we found out I was prego. seems like every week we hit a new bump in the road too. we finally got tags on our car so my hubby could use it for work last week then yesterday giant crack across the windshield... it's always something!

@faithfulness88, thank you so much! and its been really complicated since we got here. Every time we get a boost something steals it away. I just started a part time job at Old Navy but I only get a day or two a week. Im trying to help my husband out but with no dr, the l&d dr told me I should keep work to a minimum until Medicaid works out. As I always say, one step at a time...

I am sorry your going through all of that. Keep your faith up high don't give up. Pray and you will be answered. I'll see what I can do. I'll have to talk to my boyfriend. But if anything I'll keep you in my prayers. Make sure you keep buying Medicaid and the food stamps. You have to push them. I'm surprise they didn't give you emergency food stamps. They did it for my sister.

If no one wants to or can help, I understand. Prayers is more than enough for me. You'll never know if you can get help unless you ask though...

@faithfulness88, If we can raise some, it will start by going towards a deposit on a cheap place, so we know we have a permanent roof. We can afford rent, but not deposit and rent. From there, we should be able to slowly work our way up. If we can't raise enough to help with housing, the second priority is insurance, so we have a way to and from work. If anything, we'll go back to the tent while trying to save for baby. We're just desperately needing a boost. Help if any kind. Food stamps in pending. And medicaid will tell me one day 'I only need this' then when I bring it in, they ask for something else. Ive been going in circles with them for the past month.

@bsummers thats a good one to live by... Wouldnt it be nice if the storms would pass? Every week we've hit a new bump in the road, but I tell myself it could always be worse... It just gets hard to handle it knowing my little one doesnt have the care he/she needs. I don't even know what I'm having yet.

I don't understand why you can't get Medicaid? You should be able to get food stamps too. What exactly do you need money for as for now?

@proud_mommyof4, she doesn't want us there... Plus, she lives with her boyfriend, so that adds onto it... She talked us into coming over here then we ended up in a tent for a good while. We're just now able to get a roof over our heads...
