Has anyone got the mirena only to have it taken out a few months after having it placed? I got mine placed at 7 weeks post partum. I'm 19 weeks pp now and am still spotting :( I only go a day or two at a time with no spotting. I know they say you can have irregular periods for up to six months but I'm not sure I can wait another three months!

I bled the whole time I had mine:( I hated it, it actually gave me a really bad infection, I had that thing taken out. But it really depends on your body!
The doctor told me it can sometimes take six months but the thought of this lasting another three makes me want to cry
This was before we decided to get pregnant. But they stayed consistent after that. I bled for about 3-4 days. I kept my periods. I know that some women lose them altogether when on Mirena though
@laura_love, luckily mine has slowed down to the point of only needing a panty liner most days but then randomly I will bleed through :( I feel like I have just been bleeding nonstop since my c-section 😩. @anim if you don't mind me asking, what are your periods like now?
That happened to me! I spotted all the time. But I waited it out ( it was terrible) and it honestly stopped after about 7 months.
I'm the same way. I thought it was just my period, but it's been almost 2 weeks with this crazy bleeding. I'd really rather not wear a pad 24/7. Idk if I can take it, haha
I wanna say 3-5 months. It was very short lived! I tried to keep it in as long as possible, but we wanted to have another kid after my sons 1st birthday, so I got it taken out in January and I got pregnant 2 months later.
