@jennatess, it wasn't too painful... I just didn't educate myself as much as I should have and regret not being able to experience going into labor naturally.

@coraanne, that's what I'm thinking! I really only want to induce when there is no other option. Why did you regret it? Was the Pitocin super painful?

With my first I was induced at 41 weeks 1 day and I totally regret it, wish I would have waited for it to happen naturally. This time around I don't care if I go two weeks over, this baby is coming on his own time. and I'm totally with @jennatess!

I laugh when I read posts like that... mainly because it goes to show how impatient they are. they are in a world of surprises as soon as that baby comes cuz they'll need A LOT OF PATIENCE. . they'll wish they were still pregnant lol.
I say being pregnant is only the beginning. .. it's hard. but being a parent is Harder.. and they'll soon see that

like ive been tired since ive been pregnant because its been horrible. at 7 months i still throw up at least 3times a day but id never potentially put my baby in harms way because of it. it was my decision to get pregnant, so this is what i have to endure !

I was induced on my due date with my first and 3 days past on my second. Both were perfectly healthy. My doc doesn't induced before full term and strongly encourages not going more than 41 weeks. I'm sure there is a reason but I'm no doctor.

Unless the doctor says its medically necessary or you're 42 weeks, I think it's absolutely ridiculous when people get induced "because they just want the baby out.". It's selfish. Let the baby come when it's ready - not you! Drives me completely bonkers. Haha. I had a friend going and getting acupuncture at 36 weeks because she was "hot, and fat, and just ready to have this baby."... I haven't spoken to her since. That's just stupid, and selfish when it comes to the child who's still inside the belly cooking.

that's understandable @kimberlyyyy you baby was actualllly full term ! my friends baby is now having lots of tummy problems & irregular bow movements & sometimes trouble swallowing or keeping his food down. her pediatrician told her that the last few weeks are very important & her doctor should have never induced her unless her or her baby were at risk of complications . now she feels horrible.!

like no judgement what so over but i see alot of mommies getting induced & not being over due or even at 40. for instance my friend & i got into an argument because she was induced at 37 1/2 weeks because "she was tired of being pregnant" im sorry but that just sounds so selfish i don't get it. i would personally like my baby girl to grow as much as she can & come on her time. i wouldn't want to choose her birth date based on my own reasons. i also feel like Jesus gave us our children & the birth date was chosen from conception so why alter it ? im sorry at my long rant she just made me mad !

I was induced on my due date because I wanted him born on that day specifically. They wanted to induce me early and I refused until my due date.

cause they don't want to go passed the due date, or sometimes they're a week or 2 overdue, and sometimes things will happen like water breaking but they're not in labor.
