@simpsonv54, If you don't want to be induced and there is no medical reason for it I would say absolutely not! Put your foot down for what you want, this is your baby, don't let them push you around!

Tonight they will be putting gel on my cervix to rippen it and tomororw we will start pitocin to induce labor. Two weeks ago we had a ultrasound at my dr office that showed the baby measuring three weeks behind. I had a appointment at a specialist at 3:45 today. He found the baby to have very little fluid as well as poor blood flow through his umbilical cord. He is still measuring behind and estimated to weigh 5 pounds 7 ounces. Ive also had problems with high blood pressure the past couple of weeks. The specialist said we need to go ahead and be induced and get him out, that he will grow better on the outside. He said it would be dangerous to wait.
