Ftm and iv had the pregnancy plastic belly ring in for a month now but all of a sudden past 2 days top of belly button is sore to the touch and is red... Any ideas to help with what i can do?

it could just be from the stretching. salt water would help
@courtney_boyea, Oh wow. ya ill for sure be cateful. iv been checking it and i dont see anything wrong with ir just top is irritated so not sure if its from stretching or what. i have my doc appt on the 14th and im guna ask then to make sure everything is ok with it. its not hot or swollen so at this point idk what to think. its red but that's all its weird.
be careful with the belly button ring. my first pregnancy I took mine out. this pregnancy I thought it was fully closed. after almost 3 years of nothing in It I thought that was a good assumption. but I was wrong and it started to get really infected and was like super red and hot and swollen. well I went in to the doctors and there was this tiny worm inside of me! we have no clue how it happened or how long it was jn there for but because my stomach was getting bigger and bigger and stretching it gave the worm no room and made it infected. so just be careful
@camdensmama, ya iv had mine done since i was 15 and i will be 21 in october so there no way its infected just the top hurts and thats where it mostly red. the rest kinda looks red from me moving skin to look at inside and its fine thats why im thinking its just from skin stretching
I took mine out a few weeks ago mine is red like that but doesn't hurt at all and there is no way it's infected. I've had mine done for over 6 almost 7 years!
@phasion, Ok ill do the saline and saltwater. Just want it to not be so sore and i feel its just from it stretching cause there no infection cause iv looked so idk. Ill take it out!
Honestly I've had my belly button pierced for 6 years, I took it out once I found out I was pregnant. Mine closed up within a couple days

Yes I would say so.. mine closed up in a matter of a week or so!
@raelynnsmommy, Im thinking of taking mine out completely. will it close up though? and ill try the seasalt water!!
If it doesn't seem to be any sort of infection I would assume it's from your belly stretching, which I don't think there is much you can do about that other than taking the ring out :/
Try cleaning it with warm seasalt water. Personally I took mine out because I didn't want it to stretch and get irritated. Hopefully yours gets better!
And iv taken bar out for 2 days and its not infected cause no pus or anything... Can it be just skin stretching?

My friend got a small tattoo last week. It probably took less then 20 mins at the most!! And she’s 26weeks pregnant. She posted her new tattoo on fb and keep getting hate comments on being a horrible mom that doesn’t care if she’s pregnant. This is ridiculous!!! She deleted the post and people still are talking about it on Facebook. PEOPLE GETTING A TATTOO DOESNT AFFECT YOUR BABY AT ALL!! Especially when it’s below the knee and not anywhere near or around the belly... get this through your heads...

Solids are anything beyond breastmilk or formula. This includes: cereals, juices, purée, etc.
