My baby has all this white stuff i his mouth mostly on his tongue. Any other mommies go through this with their newborns? What did you do to get rid of it?
@mommyslittleman, it's a fungle infection most commonly seen in nursing babies but it can happen to any baby
That could be thrush, my son has it. If you wipe it off and it's still there it's thrush. Check his cheeks to see if he has white spots or bumps .
If it's white in his mouth it could be thrush. Are you nursing? Do you have a burning feeling on your nipples when nursing b
Yea I got most of it out with the washcloth. I hope it goes away soon. @cookiemonster1216
oh in his mouth? I wouldn't worry about it if it's just milk residue. If it bugs you you could use a damp washcloth and wipe his mouth out.
Are you talking about the cheesy stuff (vernix)? My baby had a lot of that at birth. My nurse washed most of it off at her first bath, but she said to leave the rest on as it's super good for their skin. It didn't take long to come off though. Maybe 1-2 wks.
I would see if you can wipe it out if not as ^^^ she said it could be thrush you need to make an appointment if so cuz it is an infection if left untreated it can worsen and become painful to baby
