Girlie's I think it's just jealousy or they assume we will be different once we have kids...I mean I will always be the same me....but I will also have other responsibilities. None of my friends go out drinking or smoking anyway. I don't either so it won't be like I am missing out on anything. All 3 of my friends congratulated me. One of them already has a son :) He will be 2 next year. I haven't seen her for ages though because she moved to Wales. I feel sorry that your friends are treating you like that! My aunties didn't really like the idea of me being pregnant but now they are happy and excited. Your family will always be there for you no matter what!

Only 3 of my friends know. Rather than my friends being distant. It's my older sister that's kinda distant to me.....I think it's always because she's wanted a baby....and she's recently split from a long term partner and she's in no position to have a child. She will ask how I am doing etc and bring up my pregnancy...then if I say too much about it...She will say "I don't want to talk anymore about your pregnancy" It kinda stings a bit...I mean she was the one that brought it up in the first place...why should I get punished for talking about it. It's my birthday next week and I am going away. So she asked if I wanted to celebrate the weekend before. I said yeah, then she suggests cooking. I tell her I've been having problems with eating(obviously pregnancy related) and cooking wouldn't be a good idea. I mean I don't want her to go to all the trouble of cooking for me and then finding out I can't eat it. She didn't reply back to me after that (we were texting)

same, my best mate who supporred me through alot and i have her just has breif convos with me and claims to always busy (doesnt work!)

You sure found out who your true friends are once you become pregnant, that's for sure! All my friends didn't want to know. including my so called best mate of 5 years!

I found this with both previous pregnancies, I'm of the opinion that it is indeed there loss x

yes i find the same

Yes especially since many of my friends finished their families when I thought I'd finished mine with my ex. To be fair a few of them became distant when I split with him. Bet they'll be cooing I've bubbs when they are here although in my experience they cool off again when you have a toddler..... some friends can be very fickle!

Yup ... most my friends dont even contact me anymore. Guess because i dont smoke and drink anymore im not fun 😕 xx
