Ugh ! I was trying to get paisley to latch and she was screaming up a storm (which is why we ALWAYS end up giving her a bottle) her dad gets up to pee looks down the hall at us and just goes back to bed...NOOO I guess I don't need your fucking help though it'd be nice if you'd make a bottle while I'm trying or help her latch...I'm sick of feeling like a failure because I can only pump for her and we can't physically breastfeed !

I used to use it all the time when i was bf. I would dip my whole nipple shield in water and then place it on the center of the nipple. it helped suction it better. then having some water on it seemed to help stimulate kyler to want to latch

I read somewhere that they have like something u put on your boob for the pumped milk to go through. I don't remember where I'll look into it. maybe that would help the bond ??
@alicia3_21, that's the way it feels though love yeah she still gets my milk by pumping but we don't get the bond from breastfeeding
It was hard for me too. they need to some how make it easier lol. the two times he did latch it was with the shield

Get a nipple shield it might help you . it helped me ,he couldn't latch either @hayleymarie
@blessedmommy, almost 5 months (on the 16th) strong 💪 I just wish her dad would help when I'm trying to get her to latch...I can't get the nipple shield on right by myself so I need his help I feel like she might latch if we were using the shield
Bradley wouldn't latch for anything. so I pumped for a while but eventually quit that. at least you're still going strong with the pumping (: I still get depressed and bitter that I couldn't breastfeed

HELP! My baby is a few weeks old. We had trouble with latch in the beginning and she wasn't getting enough food I had to introduce formula to clear her jaundice when she came home..was nervous about introducing the bottle because I knew it might confuse her which I think it did and now have been giving her some breast milk I pump and formula as well.
