Has anyone been diagnosed with hypoglycemia during pregnancy? I'm glad they finally figured out what was making me feel so terrible but now I'm at a loss for a diet plan to help. Any snack ideas for a working mom would be a huge help as well as any other suggestions!!

you don't have to have an order to give a patient juice unless they are NPO or clear liquid, and even then they can have certain juices.... I've worked in the hospital with nurses for a year. juice will help that's why I said to eat peanut butter after you drink it. my sister is hypoglycemic and that's what the doctor told her.

Yeah I know juice is good if you are very low but not a go to to stabilize glucose during the day. It brings your sugar up quickly but it will also make it drop quickly after if you don't get protein or carbs in your body

it's not going to help all day she needs breads and pasta carbs to help maintain her sugars.. she is not asking about something that's going to help "right now" concentrated juice isn't good for anyone to drink constantly. if she wants to maintain her sugars she beds carbs

yes juice does help because of the sugar, I am almost done with nursing school and we just learned this. the first thing you give a patient who is hypoglycemic is juice.

juices, candy bars, peanut butter, are some things that will get it up. Drink juice or eat something sugary then eat peanut butter & it will help to stabilize the blood sugar.
