what is a balloon to induce?

for some reason it was a real pain for the doc to get the balloon in. I had 3 different doctors try so that was painful. other than that it was ok. the balloon fell off after 9 hrs got the epidural and then i dilated on my own. the doc broke my water. then gave birth. it was total of 15 hrs of labor

Oh and I didn't get the epidural until about 45 mins before they took me into surgery (I was planning all natural but had to choose between spinal and epidural for my c section)

I did...they put it in on Sunday night around 10pm and it fell out around 10:30am Monday morning when I dilated to a 4...gave me Pitocin and couldn't dilate past a 5 ended up having an emergency c section due to my daughters heart rate continuously dropping...the balloon didn't hurt at all I slept with it in for about 5 hours

I had it with no epidural it was quite painful

I had it done with my first pregnancy it hurt me a little bit.
