Some OBs don't like their patients doing it, some recommend it, but I'd say call your doctor and ask if it would be okay for you to use Aveeno oatmeal bath soak. It helps so much I had a 2nd degree sunburn when I was 17 weeks along and I've never felt relief as quick as I did when I got into the bath.

@havynsmomma0625, yup I'm trying to drink lots through out the day like normal an trying to stay cool aswell I'm at work but when I get home I'm deff taking a shower haha it's slowly getting better

It can only cause preterm labor through dehydration because the uterus is a muscle . that's also why I suggested the shower (your skin can absorb the water) and the other lady said to drink a ton of water. I just carry a gallon with me everywhere I go (:

I was told by my OB that it could cause preterm labor and severe dehydration, she said if you do get sun burnt to make sure your drinking 2x the water you normally do, stay indoors and keep extremely cool

Ouch! Sunscreen it up girl! You only got one skin gotta take care of it! The UV rays are so strong nowadays

An then went putt putting an the sun was just beating down on us I couldn't really get outa the sun I tryed to as much as I could an I just burnt like a lobster so painful

If you face the shower head make sure it doesn't hit your belly for long, too hot or too cold of water can change the blood flow in your uterus plus change the temp of the amniotic fluid that's why I'm saying do not face the water

I would def put aloe on yourself. The baby should be fine! Hope you used sunscreen out there!

@havynsmomma0625, thanks I'll have to try it I tuck a warm shower last night helped some the sun burn is on the front of my legs an arms though so not facing the shower head idk how that would help lol an iv been using that aloe Vera seems like it's helped some but don't wanna use to much an not sure if I have any blisters but I sure hope this all goes away soon it's no fun!

No, it's topical. The only way it could affect the baby is if it was blistered and something got infected that could enter the bloodstream, otherwise it's nothing to worry about just go ahead and put some aloe Vera on, and I know this is gonna hurt but it works - take a shower, first hot as can bare (do not face the water) to remove the sting and then as cold as you can bare (again don't face the water) to help heal the burn. It hurts but it's worth it. Coconut or cocoa butter help as well as the aloe
