@kimberlyyyy, haha that's okay! we are all alittle sleep deprived. I make mistakes all the time too haha. thanks for the advice!
@kelsey.anne. glad it didn't take your little one too long to get them in! I think his bottom is probably what he's working on since the bottom gums are hardest lol
I would put a knot in thin wash cloths and freeze them and give them to my son. The cold felt good to his gums and he was able to bite on the knot. Depending on age you can do frozen waffles too; they're cold, perfect size and as long as their older it not hurt them if a few flakes of the waffle comes apart and they eat it (you wouldn't let them have it as its defrosted half soggy so it's not like they're taking bites and eating he waffle). My parents did the frozen waffle thing with me && I tried it a couple times with my son. Teething toys with the liquid in them they makes them sqishy work too. But if there's drooling, a need for anything in the kiddos mouth than that's a sign of teething! I was watching a 5 month old and she was all about my finger, lol, showing me where her teeth were going to come in. Good luck, teething isn't the most fun thing to go through for anyone.
@hayleymarie, he's drooling alot and fussy and wanting to sleep instead of eating but isn't like horribly cranky. but he also wasn't horribly cranky when he got shots either so it's very hard to tell. his gums seem hard but not sure it's teeth related. he was gnawing on my finger yesterday which he's never done before.
I don't really think there's a way to avoid keeping them from putting all of their toys in their mouths all you can do is make sure they're clean and are big enough that he doesn't choke...babies don't know the difference between what toys are ok to go in the mouth and what toys aren't (I wash my daughters toys twice a week)...on another note, putting his hands in his mouth could just be a discovery thing, is he exceptionally fussy and drooling a lot? You could also feel in his mouth with clean hands and see if his gums are swollen, if a tooth is starting to cut through you can sometimes see their gums become a whiteish pink color in the spot where it's coming in
@hayleymarie, my son I think is starting to teeth. he's constantly gnawing on his hands or mine lol we got seem teething toys as gifts..just wanna avoid putting everything in the mouth if it's possible.
