Something weird happened today!
There are about 5/6 midwife companies over here. I pretty much spoke to all of them. Two said they weren't available in September (due date), one said they don't accept insurance, one didn't get back to me yet and the other one said she's available an we set up an apt for consult.
.........This is where it gets weird....
One of the companies that said they weren't available, sent me some referred today (all of which I called prior). So when I told her that I found a lady and was going to a consult with her. The lady (one giving referrals) told me she wouldn't recommend the lady I'm having a consult with. When I asked why she said "I prefer not to comment".... 👀👀 ummmm what???

She's either a hater or a midwife who is looking out for you. Search her name online and see if you can find anything.

I agree with @queeneden you should do some more research on her I don't think she's being a hater legally she can't tell you what exactly happened if something did that's against patient privacy if something happened to a patient

@babygirl10-11, that's what I was thinking. That's such a weird situation, the midwife who said she doesn't recommend the other said she'll make space in her schedule if I cannot find anyone other that the other lady.

@phasion, idk if she is or not and that's what's confusing to me. I think to myself "what if I do go with the other lady and something happens to me or my child?"... Then I think "what if the other lady (midwife giving recommendations) hates the other lady out of jealousy or something"... I'm conflicted.

@boymama, her opinion matters because there aren't that many midwives over here and if someone gets black listed it can be for something really bad.
