advice & opinions needed!

ok so i got a crib for free its in pretty good shape but it is a drop down crib(which is recalled) but the drop down doesnt work.
i am not sure i really want to use it anyways.
my baby sleeps in my room in her rock and play. i have to have her close. im terrified which is ok.
so herez my question/problem.
she is outgrowing it so i need to get her into something else.
i am thinking about getting a pack and play its easy and i can have it right next to my bed.
or i can buy her a new crib or use the one i have(but im so unsure about it).
i dont know what to do.
so i need advice/opinions.
what would you ladies do?

@juliagail09, The reason I asked is because the company that did my recall had me send in a picture of the label and crib or the label itself

@juliagail09, I had the exact thing happen and I called the company for the maunal, they told me it had been recalled and sent me a new crib for free, shipping and all!
If you're not sure, then don't use it. Be safe than sorry. I wouldn't use it!
I actually am using a drop down crib. I used it for my first and I'll use it for mia. we had no issues with it.
I'm planning on using the pack n play probably for about 6 months! And then I'll transition to a crib. My baby will only be a baby for so long. So I'll cherish the time when baby actually wants to be close to me! Lol and i would just add a couple extra screws to the drop down side to secure it. Baby should be fine!
Someone gave me a drop down too and they just faced it toward the wall so the baby won't hang over it. I already bought a new crib and we have a mini crib in our room so the drop down will go in my moms house and we will turn it toward the wall. I'm sure it'll be fine
Maybe you can contact the company of the drop down and they will reimburse or replace the defective product. Worth a try!
go ahead and use the drop down... i would put a few extra screws in place to further prevent the drop down apaeatus.. but it should be fine
If the drop down doesn't work and you made sure its stable, I think it should be fine.
You can get a used crib on Craiglist that cost way less than a new one. The pack and play would be cool to especially if you're going to use it different places.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...

My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?

I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤️
I would probably get a new crib because your instincts are always right. If it doesn't feel safe I prob would just invest and get a crib.
