Ok pregnant mommies, I start going every 2 weeks to the doctor now and I'm 27 weeks today. But I'm wondering if/when will I get to see my baby girl again?! I didn't get very clear pics at my last ultrasound.

That's cool! (: I'm not sure what my insurance covers. But thanks for the info! I'll ask my doctor at my next appt. and hopefully he'll say I'll get to see her again! If not I'll be surprised. I might check into another place like you said. @karnawest It would be worth the extra money :)

it is built into the total fee that my doctor office charges for their services. I am on a 8 month payment schedule because they are offering more services then the insurance will cover. More expensive but we can do as many ultrasounds as we need (just in case there is a problem), blood work, or appointments are all covered under the additional costs. Plus, the doctor will come visit 2 times a day as long as I am in recovery at the hospital after birth just too make sure I'm good to go home. But the "Sneak Peek" is part of the "extra benefits" that's offered. I believe you can go to an outpatient clinic and pay for an ultrasound and they aren't that expensive if your doctor doesn't offer more.

my first pregnancy I got one ultrasound at 21 weeks that determined the sex and anatomy. This time I am with a different group and they do something called a "sneak peek" which is an ultrasound later usually around 32-34 weeks for good profile pictures! I'm excited

You could always try to find a place to get a recreational ultrasound done if ur Dr wont, they're usually not too expensive!

They can feel it by prodding your belly, my baby girl was already head down at 20 weeks though!

it depends on your doctor and insurance. My last one was scheduled when I was supposed to be 36 weeks.

Birth Plan Rant I used to be all about getting an epidural, but after research and thinking about it more I want to have an unmedicated birth (this is my first baby). What annoys me is when I say that I'm going to TRY my hardest to have a natural and unmedicated birth people always feel the need to say that I'm crazy or that I'm going to change my mind when I get in that position. Or that epidurals are the best. I do realize that plans change, but why can't people be supportive and encouraging?
