To vaccinate or not to vaccinate that is the question... Not looking to start any arguments just looking for opinions and any research whether pro or con.
Think about this...as children and our parents and grandparents before us we were all vaccinated and there was never any problems. All it has ever done is help. The data that started all of the omg don't vaccinate crap was fake none of it was real. If it was I'm pretty sure all of us would not be healthy right? But even with that aside what most people do not realize is that there are only three ways that your child will build an immune system. One is certain immunities that are passed through the mother during breast feeding two is vaccinations for the diseases that the mother cannot pass immunities for and lastly? Is for your child to catch the disease. Many make the argument well if your child is vaccinated why are you worried mine will pass it? It really is not that simple. First if it were me I wouldn't want to risk my child getting a disease like that in the first place but second unvaccinated children put the children who are A) too young to be vaccinated B) children with illness I.E. Cancer or other possible deficiencies who cannot be vaccinated or the vaccines won't take at risk is it really worth not letting your kid get a few shots that have been proven to do so much good because of rumors?
That makes sense @njf1216. Thanks for the info. I know when there were outbreaks California schools suspended the kids for a couple of weeks who weren't vaccinated so they couldn't go to school and make it worse. Have you heard of anything similar?
Certain school systems will accept "religious reasons" as cause for not vaccinating. @danamarie my mom works in the nurses office at a high school in NY and she sees so many unvaxxed kids.
You do have a choice (at least here in California). That's what caused the measles outbreak earlier this year! Crazy. Don't know how they get through the school systems though. I don't know if they require it or what...
I had to turn in shot records for my kids to attend school. Even my son when. He was going to the seventh grade. They would not allow them to attend if I didn't have proof that they were up to date on their vaccinations. @sking092192
They've proven it was falsified (the data) and retracted the only paper that suggests you shouldn't vaccinate. I personally don't want to risk my kid dying - so I'm vaccinating.
@manina4, unfortunately I believe there is. which I personally don't understand because why would you want to risk your child getting deathly I'll because you don't want them to get the vaccine? I mean, why wouldn't you protect again hepatitis or the measles or menegitis and all those other things.. and I don't know if you're not allowed in public school without vaccines or not, I don't know if they can legally refuse you since not vaccinating is your right..
