My son did have Jaundice and his doctor never asked me to stop breastfeeding him till it went away.

My son had jaundice and you can definitely breastfeed. You can tell them no and say you don't want to mess with your supply. YOU are the mom. Jaundice will go away while you beast feed.

idn when we were in the hospital doing phototherapy they encouraged breastfeeding but then my doctor said to feed her formula so it'll leave her body faster. we left the hospital with the level at 11.4 & we did another blood test today & it was at 12.5 so since its high that's why she said do formula .-.

Why won't he let you breastfeed? My daughter had jaundice and I nursed her the whole time and it went away about a week after she was born. It comes out through their urine and poop so as long as baby is nursing the jaundice will go away.
