Anyone use cloth diapers, or considering using them? I'd like to get some input in them

I use cloth diapers. I bought all of mine from buy buy baby. I used a coupon for each one. I bought 24 and saved about $200 with coupons. They're way safer baby and better for the environment. You also save a ton of money in the long run! I highly recommend cloth

Babies are us and walmart will have prefolds probably no covers. Online is your best bet but also call local baby consignment shops to see if they have any. I made most of my stash so i don't know they best brands.

Cloth diapers are all for sensitive skin my son had an awful rash for 5 days when I used sposies his first week as soon as I switched to my cloth it went away. Washing is simple you have to test to see if you have hard water or soft water first which will alter your wash routine one way or another. You put them on a rinse cycle then a normal wash cycle with hot water you can use almost any detergent don't use fabric softener or dryer sheets. Inserts are for pocket diapers. There's prefolds and covers. Fitteds and covers. Hybrid fitteds (my favorite). Pockets. AI2 (all in two) and AIO (all in ones) they are by far much better then disposables.

Inserts are mostly sold with the diapers. Inserts are used for pocket diapers which would not work alone they require the insert. Fitted don't require inserts but need a cover. AIO (all in one) is the closest to a sposie as far as put on a go. Havin just a handful "in case" really wouldn't be cost effective at all you're better off doing all or none in my opinion because you won't really save money if you still use sposies. Prefolds and covers are the cheapest way to go.

@californiahaley, Kay I have no idea about anything about them ahah so how do you wash them? Should I get the inserts? And are they better then disposable diapers ? And do they have any that are for sensitive skin just incase my daughter can't do the dyes and what not

I use them. Ask any question.

They worked well but she also bought some plastic outliners so they wouldn't seep through the cloth like during night time

Raising a baby on a budget to. My mom used the actual cloth ones... I've seen the inserts I think they're sold separately. You can google em.. Or check out Pinterest. I'll send you some links

I do t know anyone who has used them recently I looked them up and there's inserts. Do you have to buy the inserts or will the cloth dipers alone work? I'm just thinking of having a few incase we ever run out and don't have money aha. Raising a baby on a budget @trezelle
