Do any other ladies here workout or run? I typically run 2-3 half marathons per month and it just seems so much harder now that I'm pregnant. I still end up puking from morning sickness in the beginning but then am fine. Anyone else have this problem??? Ideas to make it easier??

I had a really hard time working out the first trimester because of tiredness and sickness but once the second kicked back in I felt much better, couldn't run but I do a lot of biking and swimming with incline walking and resistance walking

my first trimester I couldn't workout at all. I was way too sick. I didn't start working out again until my 2nd trimester when the morning sickness stopped

Was it harder than normal for you @a rnawest and @helpedbytmh ?

just getting motivated to actually get up and go. before becoming pregnant I ran every morning religiously and I loved it. in the beginning stages of pregnancy I felt so blahhh and sickly that even trying to get motivated to run was a struggle, that on top of only being able to eat certain foods without throwing up

Okay - that's what I was wondering. I use to run 5 miles a day and now it's a struggle to eek out 2-4! Yeah getting sick makes had made it even harder. @helpedbytmh

I use to be a fitness freak literally I was like the fit one in the family who always got made fun of for my Healthy habits lol but since I got pregnant I haven't even tried! I was the one to wake up bright and early make my hubby his lunch get my son ready for school and once those two were gone I'd go do my daily 2mile run and come back and do an hour of weights! I just reached my 2nd trimester yesterday and I pray all those bad symptoms go away I feel lazy and fat :( I honestly don't want to gain excessive weight that isn't necessarily

@letyyyy - yeah I've even ran a few marathons but trying to do a half or 10k preggers during my first trimester was harder than the fulls! I'm hoping for the same symptoms to gone - since I'll be in my 2nd trimester too next week! I do NOT want to gain too much weight either - it's a huge set back if I do :(

We should motivate each other and other mommies on here to work out. I tried looking up pregnant woman on Instagram who workout to motivate me but had no success. I know if I see mommies sharing their workouts and healthy foods I'd get motivated, or I should probably stop looking and be that motivation other woman need to see

Sounds like a good plan @letyyyy!!
