I'll be 27 weeks tomorrow and I haven't heard anything about a 3D ultrasound... Is this something I'd have to just schedule on my own and pay out of pocket? Or is it possibly covered by insurance? I'd love to get one, but my doctor hasn't even mentioned one...

@jacksonsmommy8715, she was blessed to get that must been a nice dr lol. Also if there's something wrong with the baby in the later weeks they do a 3d

@jacksonsmommy8715, the 3d/4d is not covered by your insurance it's one of those precious moments that you would have to pay out of pocket it ranges from $50 on up depending on what package you get .

Thanks ladies! I have my next appointment on Monday, it won't hurt to ask! My sister got one at her anatomy scan, but she lives in a different state than me. I was so jealous! @brittanyy_plus1 @bryawna13 @lynleighs_mommy

Those are only scheduled by your doctor if they are worried something is wrong. 😕They supposedly are finding out they are actually not very good for the baby because it takes more radiation to get those images. If you want one you have to schedule it yourself and insurances usually don't cover it but some might.

Mine was covered by insurance and they just did it anyway.. Hmm try asking him/her for one and see what they say?
