I tried breast feeding with my first daughter and I was MISERABLE. I absolutely hated to feed her because it hurt so much. so when we got home our first night I had a melt down and my husband went out and got formula. she had to be on the Wal-Mart brand of formula...every other formula we tried she would projectile vomit lol but the Wal-Mart brand she was perfectly fine with lol and with our baby now we have her on enfamil and in the hospital they will give you enfamil or simalic and take as many as you can before you go! bottle feeding is just fine for them. my almost 3 year old daughter is ahead in her age with talking and learning and they say breast fed kids are smarter....

I think it's just because I've lost 2 babies so I feel like the bond would be great. But for formulas I heard Enfamil is really good. That's what my nephew are/drank?

@jennatess, it fine I'm bored anyways ! lol its a gradual switch. you shouldn't just completely switch over if its different name brands. Most bottle should be with the first name brand and slowly add a bottle of the new kind each day.

I only tried the Enfamil and Similac

just up and switch if you need to. you don't have to mix it or anything. but she really likes the Similac sensitive one

@iloveni0820, one more question! (Sorry to bug you!) if I do end up switching brands of formulas, do I need to mix half and half or do you just up and switch?

@ftm15, right! I so understand people doing what they want and need to do! I went to a baby yoga class, and the topic was brought up, and every single mom in the class started arguing over the topic. I was on the losing end, so i just hushed up! Haha. I think as long as they are happy and have a fully tummy, then we did our jobs, right? ☺️

My daughter had stomach problems with the Enfamil gentleease. but yea every baby is different! :) you could Def try enfamil. lots of people use that brand as well

I understand I tried and was able too with my first and don't expect to be able to with this one. We used the platex drop in bottles with the first but I think I'll try the tommee tippee bottles with this one is breastfeeding doesn't work. I have heard good thing about the Dr. Brown bottles for colic and stomach troubles. I ended up using Similac Sensitive for formula but I would talk to your pediatrician about what to start on. I kept six of the smaller bottles and 4-6 bigger bottlers later on.

People suck! But there's always haters! My sister in law the same one that only bottle fed downs me for breastfeeding all the time and says it's not necessary (only because she just couldn't do it-.-) But I ignore her because I'm doing what's best for him as your doing for yours:)

I bottle fed my son and he took fine to the formula. he had to be on soy. I also bought 3 bottle of a couple different kinds til I found a can he liked, my son liked the gerber bottle the best and the only ones he would hold himself to

@ftm15, THANK YOU! I've had a few people get actually mad at me. So I just drop the subject. It's a personal reason and view. People can be so judgmental.

I strictly bottle feed because I was going to school and work and I didn't want to have to worry about if I produce enough milk or if she was starving while I was gone. I use doctor brown bottles. She had 8 bottles. You need a bottle and nipple brush and doctor brown bottles come with a brush to clean the straw and rubber piece. Hospitals start the baby on similac advance but many people switch to Enfamil Infant. I guess you don't really know what brand is best for them until you actually try it out on them. my daughter couldn't take Enfamil Infant so her doctor switched her to Enfamil gentleease which is much easier on a baby's stomach.

@ftm15, oh good! I know a lot of people who had problems breast feeding and switched pretty soon to strictly formula, and their kids are fine. I'm just at a loss on what I should buy in advance.

**And just for the record your momma! Do what you feel is right for you and baby. There is NOTHING wrong with it.

I use Dr brown's and they are really good for baby's with gas. I use Similac sensitive the orange can because she does spit up alot and is just a gassy baby in general. Ino alot of baby's on this formula and they do great on it

My sister in law did and her kids are perfectly healthy!:)
