Is he a registered pedophile? If so I don't think he can be that close to a child but I'm not sure. Is there a woman's shelter around your area or a friends place you could stay at?

& if his apartment is getting repaired why doesn't the apartment complex find a place for him to go since he's paying for that apartment?

You don't have anywhere to go? He should be the one in a predicament, not you! Look him on a public registry. Or even call your local police station for assistance to find out. If so he cannot be in the same household of a child.

He legally can't stay with your grandparents because you and your child live with your grandparents. If your uncle is a registered sex offender he doesn't have the rights to stay anywhere in proximity to a child.

I'd look it up and if he is then I'd call the police and give them an anonymous tip!
