went to my appt today, and was informed that my "son" is actually my Daughter. I'm going in on Friday at 5am to be induced. I hadn't had an ultrasound since December which is when they told me the gender. And they apparently made a mistake at that appt.
@ashley123, OMG that's terrible!! (Not terrible that your having a baby girl) but that they got it wrong like that! It's my worst fear! This is my first girl after 2 prior boys and praying for her for 8 years. I worry about it all the time that everything is picked out, bought, and set up and it's all pink, purple, yellow or light green. And when I deliver they will tell me oops it's a boy not a girl and I'm totally fucked. Obviously all us mommies don't really care if we have a boy or a girl at the end of the day regardless of maybe having a preference it just matters they are super healthy!! I've heard of people getting told a girl and ending up with a boy but a boy ending up being a girl is new to me. I dont know how they messed a little boy part up with her really being a girl!! I hope you can return the boy stuff for girlie stuff!! I bet you had everything for a boy and now the poor thing will be wearing footballs, baseballs, and tons of blue!
my ob wouldn't schedule my anatomy ultrasound any sooner than 19 weeks because he said that its too easy to make a mistake about the gender if your ultrasound is too early. I had mine at 20 weeks
they did that to my mom right before she gave birth & said she was gonna have a girl actually & once my brother was born they said "wow I don't know how we missed that..."
they told me at around 16 weeks, and yeah cuz I'm due on sunday so I had everything ready and all that
it was definitely a big shock, but I've had a perfect pregnancy so I knew something had to go wrong lol. now I get to think of a baby girl name by Friday.
