how long after giving birth did your milk come in

I've been told for the first few days all you have is colostrum then after that your milk comes in.

I hope mine comes in soon..I only have colostrum for now @parkers_mommy

@sgomez0606, that's all a baby needs for the first few days anyways.

I haven't even started leaking yet. 😰 I'm so scared I won't be able to breastfeed by son. :(

Yeah that's what my doctor told me but my baby girl has lost weight since she was born and the doctors said I need to make sure and feed her every 2 to 3 hours but I'm afraid this colostrum isn't enough @parkers_mommy how far along are you?? I didn't get colostrum till 34-35 weeks @jaspersmama61315

I'm 34+3 and still nothing hopefully it'll come in soon.

@sgomez0606, some babies lose a little when they get home. just keep trying, supplement if you have to. @jaspersmama61315 leaking has nothing to do with your ability to breast feed once the baby is here.

Two days

You can have colostrum for almost a week then you'll start getting milk @jaspersmama61315 I never leaked and I have an oversupply ...most babies loose weight in their first few days as long as the baby is back to birth weight by 2weeks you're fine ☺️

2 days. I'm glad I brought nursing pads to the hospital, I woke up with the front of my shirt totally soaked lol
