my O.B. told me to gain no weight during my pregnancy. I'm not that overweight. I'm just confused as to how to not gain weight when my baby is gonna weigh around 8 pounds, amniotic fluid, extra blood, all that stuff weighs. anyone else told this? any suggestions?

@tonifeise1, I am over weight starting my pregnancy but my doctor told me try not to gain to much weight. so far I have only gained 13 pounds but lost 2 over the weekend she seems happy about that I only have 10 weeks to go so hopefully I don't gain anymore lol

You actually only need to consume 300 calories extra than you normally do. So as long as you do that you're good. And that's not very much. A protein bar and a shake should cover it. So no you actually don't need to gain a bunch of weight

That sounds a little crazy. I am overweight and my dr didn't tell me anything about not gaining.
