my oldest daughter said she didn't want anymore siblings and that she wasn't going to help with the baby if I had one but as soon as I told her we were expecting she's been super excited and can't wait for him.

My biological children are 13 years apart. My son (the oldest) gave me hell. But as I got further along he came to terms with it. We kept him and my stepson involved in the pregnancy. Giving them updates, letting them shop for the new baby, going to hear the heartbeats and even the gender ultrasound. Now my older kids are very close to the youngest. We did everything we could to make sure they felt involved

Thanks for that advice @ayjeffries, I'll definitely try it to see if it sparks his interest in the pregnancy. I'm willing to try anything that seems possible right now, lol!

My son is 8years old and I'll be having another boy in 7days hopefully. He wasnt either excited first cuz we had promised him a dog before we found out I was pregnant. It was a big disappointment at first. Cuz instead of getting a dog he is getting a baby brother. I know some of u might think whats stopping us from getting a dog. But Im not ready to have a pet and baby in this house. Anyways now my son has acepted it and is super excited to have a babyboy brother. they need time to asjust it.

Thanks, @kay80! Hearing how they eventually come around is making it less stressful for me to break the news to him. Glad he decided to take his brother over the dog, lol!
