u can sponge bathe baby until the umibical cord falls off once it falls off u can give baby a real bath

once the belly cord falls off...

no it don't matter about gender my sons fell off in a week I used the alcohol pads they gave me at the hospital 3xs a day

@peytonisaiah622, cords fall off whenever they are ready too, but no longer then 3-4 weeks. Sponge bath until then and after it comes off then you can give baby a real bath.
