My baby is 10 days old and his skin is dry and peeling. could it be from baby lotion I put on him? it wasn't like that till I bathed him and put lotion on him I think. I noticed that I put some on his feet yesterday and now they're dry. any of you think its to soon to put lotion on him?
One thing I found that worked amazing for my daughters dry skin was not bathing her too often, maybe every other night. Babies don't get dirty like toddlers/older kids do so I don't think they have to be washed as often unless they have a big explosion or something like that. Just remember when you bathe you're washing away all the good oils that keep your skin moisturized.
@lovey_0421, we bathe Alaura every other night and do lotion with every bath, it doesn't hurt to lotion them whenever but really nothing will help it go away quickly, it's left over dead skin shedding pretty much
@sking092192, oh alright thank you! :) do you think I should keep him moisturized or leave it alone?
I bathe my son every night and use lotion everywhere except his head... Have since about 2-3 weeks old... But I just like the routine!
