Am I likely to have a physical examination at my 16 week appointment tomorrow or will it just be all of the normal check ups? (by physical examination I mean: feeling my tummy or checking 'down there')?

After 10-12 weeks its quite easy to find. much before then there's a bit of a knack and it's easy to worry yourself more if you can't find the heartbeat. They can be a blessing and a curse all in one really.

haha @zeld that is naughty :P but wow, with that much experience in can see what you mean :) and I was thinking of getting a doppler, this is my second baby first pregnancy, I had a miscarriage, and sometimes I like the thought of having that reassurance there, are they easy to use and what do you use?

I'm so naughty, I have my own doppler so I listen in on bubs whenever I'm feeling a bit concerned. I still haven't scheduled my first midwife appt yet, just told my gp and went for my 12wk scan. This is my 5th pregnancy though and I'm a registered nurse of almost18yrs so I kinda know what to expect lol

maybe a little examination of your belly to determine Fundal height although they don't usually start measuring that yet. Probably listen in on bubs hearbeat using a doppler. take your bloodpressure and don't forget to take a sample of your urine with you 😊
