mama's which worked better for you for birth control? the implant in your arm or the iud? I'm stuck between the two. the iud I would get would last 5 year's and the implant would last 3. what do you ladies think?

I think that's what I'm going to get.
I would suggest the implant because my OBGYN recommend it for me
thanks for the advice ladies, I'll definitely be doing research but I wanted to see what other people perspectives were. for those who have the iud do you feel it in there?
I've never had the implant in the arm but I have the IUD and after my body got used to it and I haven't really had any problems the only down side I've had is my period after I got it in lasted 3 weeks and my strings are to long so when me and my hubby do it I can feel him hitting the strings and I feel it move which can be uncomfortable but I'm getting the strings cut Thursday so its not really a problem.
@zaydenmomma, ones got infected and the other one she just started having really bad cramps out of nowhere I can't remember just exactly how it happened but she got really really sick was in the hospital for forever and she can no longer have babies now as well.
I had the iud for 5 years and it worked just fine
many woman have issues with every birth control out there. one may work well for you while it doesn't for someone else. your best bet is too research both & look at the pros & cons of each & weigh it out which is the best for you. I know a few doctors who don't do the implant & wouldn't recommend it because of the side effects from it
how did they almost die @ftm15
I knew 2 people who almost died from the IUD I seriously don't suggest it.
I'm having the same issue, I asked my doctor and she's leaning more towards the iud but I've heard it can cause cysts. Idk it's a hard decision!
perhaps research and find out which method is best for you?
so many women have had problems with iud, so Idk.
