So last year in February I got a DUI with both my kids in the car. I was NOT drunk I had a couple of beers earlier in the day and I got pulled over like around 8-9 at night. It took a whole 11 months for the D-A to pick up my charges. I've never been in trouble before I have a clean record. Went to court On the 18th and they want to give me 6 months in jail with two counts of child endangerment which is a felony with 5 years felony probation!! I understand what I did was not right what so ever and I would not put my children in danger like that ever again. But I think what they are trying to give me is way to hard for someone with a clean record. I'm so stressed out I have a doctors appointment on the 24th I'm going to see if my Doctor can include me so that if I do go to jail I won't have her in jail 😭😭😭💔💔💔

do u have a lawyer ? maybe they will just give u house arrest u cant be away from ur baby for 6 months

My boyfriend got a first time dui he did 48 hours jail time and 2 years probation/ drug testing and at home breathalyzer. Impact weekend, has to get his ged, mothers against drunk driving, community service. He works 40+ hours a week it SUCKS.

at this point I don't think so. I'm mommy and daddy for my 8 year old son. my daughter's dad comes in and out when he wants and my baby won't have me there for her after she's born. I don't want to be way from my babies at all. I have my kids 24/7 and 6 months is just to long to be with out them. I want to run away and hide for the rest of my life. I been crying since my court date and my 1 year old keeps telling that it's ok makes me cry even more. my 8 year old is scared that they are going to take me from him ugh I hate life right now @babygirl10-11

@babyhuff2015, that's just him by him self. I had both my kids with me. I wouldn't mind all of that but they want to give me jail time. I've spent 6 days in jail for the DUI 3 days was when it happen and just this last Feb I did another 3 days. not a place for a pregnant lady

I don't have money for one. I wish I could get one. the lawyer that the court gave me isn't trying to help me at all. she was the one that told me to just sign for the deal that they are giving me. @lajo

Do your research. Some lawyers will give you a payment plan. Don't settle for a public defender. You're just one of hundreds of clients that they just want to get rid of. They will not fight for you.
