@lee0924, it is an umbilical hernia the key is when they cry you need to put a coin such as a bow dollar, a gold dollar or something over it, keeps it from stretching and herniating

My son belly button was the same way when he was born....the doctor told me that it would go down and he would grow out of it. You can tell he has it still but it just looks like an outtie.

Yea they are commonv my god daughter's belly button looked like that it goes away by the time they like two. I guess it won't harm them as long as you can push on it and it goes in. my daughter kinda has one too
