if they are crying they are breathing.... babies have to cry it out sometimes. "you have to make time for your baby" well yeah duh... but babies cry alot. and were human and are busy. its more then okay to let them cry it out if they have been fed n are clean and everything BABIES DO CRY FOR NO REASON

@ryans_mommy14, my pediatrician said crying is the sign of life! This is my opinion and I worked in many day cares all babies have to cry. I would try not to let him cry for more then 10 minutes and check on him every couple of minutes. Do not feel bad anyone that says they do not let their babies cry for sometime is full of it. Do not beat yourself up :)

Yes he is 4 months and His pediatrician said it's fine if we have things to get done. @abbilms00. And I know you aren't being mean but he didn't cry for that long

he's a baby, picking him up when he wants/needs to be picked up isn't wrong. and just because people have done something and their kids turned out okay doesn't mean it's "right." women do drugs while pregnant and sometimes their babies are fine but that doesn't make it right. your son is only like 4 months right? that's too early to let him cry it out or for him to be spoiled. if you talked to the pediatrician I'm sure they would say the same thing. You may have been busy but you have to make the time for baby. it's proven to be psychologically unhealthy for babies. not being mean but the research backs it up.

@abbilms00 and @jstrong12712 we were busy. And I was cooking and I didn't want him to get burned. So that's why we did it he was fine. My mom and aunt let us and there babies cry and they are just fine? I just don't want him to think every time he cries we are going to pick him up!

it is not healthy to let babies cry it out until they are at least 6 months old and even then I wouldn't. babies can't talk and they don't cry for no reason. something is still causing them to cry even if they are fed and changed. it doesn't matter if your mom said it's okay, sorry but she isn't an expert. letting babies cry it out makes them feel abandoned.

according to my development psychology Prof and textbooks and documentaries it IS bad to let a baby cry it out. If I were you'd I'd do my own research because not every baby is the same and parenting style and not everyone is educated on development of a child.

Yeah I pick him up sometimes. But tonight me and his dad were both busy.... It just hurt my feelings the way he was crying

yeah thats the one thing my mom told me not to do with my baby when i have her cuz then u wont get anything done with a baby that wants to be held 24/7 haha i know you feel bad hearing him cry but its okay 😊

@ryans_mommy14, if he doesn't need anything and just crying for you to pick him up and if you do it every time you won't be able to do nothing cause he gone look for you to pick him up every time. its alright to do it some times.
