Ladies, I have a really serious issue. The baby's daddy is very abusive and has been throughout our whole relationship pretty much. It didn't start off so bad, and I could handle it. Obviously, as everyone knows how domestic violence progresses, it got worse and worse. I have left several times but I always come back because I love him so much despite what he puts me through. And I know it may be hard to believe, but he does love me too. It's just hard for him to control his anger. I never thought he would hit me while I was carrying his child, but he did. After the third time, I went to a women's shelter. I didn't stay long, but sometimes I really wish I had. Today, things got really bad. I have never felt so hurt from all the times he's abused me. This time there is only one scratch and one bruise, and other times there have been many serious marks, but for some reason today was just worse than all the others. Not pain wise, I was just more emotionally hurt than anything. I couldn't believe how far he took it today, even though he can visibly see I have his son inside me. I don't know what to do anymore because I don't want to leave. I don't have anyone I can talk to about this either, which is why I'm venting here. I just don't know what to do. I'm sure none of you will really have an idea either. It's so difficult to really understand domestic violence if you haven't experienced it. I thought I knew all about it before and I would always say that would never be me. I would never let a man put his hands on me. I would leave right away. It's really not that easy when you love someone. I don't know. I almost wish I never got pregnant, it would be so much easier.

That's awful :( I understand what you mean though, you never know until your in that situation. Most people will probably tell you that you should leave and never look back but that's definitely easier said than done.. especially since you love him. Its just terrible that he would lay a hand on you while your carrying his son, he might not completely comprehend that until he sees him. Have you tried talking to him about his anger? He should try and get help because honestly once you have your baby you aren't going to want him around that its not fair to you or your son especially since its probably putting stress on you and that's not healthy for you and your baby. I couldn't imagine going through that while being pregnant, it must feel awful. On the other hand don't wish you never got pregnant, I'm sure you love your baby and are just worried for him... just remember your going to have to put your son first and make hard decisions sometimes. I don't really know you but I've seen my mum go through abuse while I was growing up so I can somewhat relate. just wanted to let you know that if you ever need someone to talk to then I'm here, its not good to keep things bundled up inside... except for your baby of course lol. I hope I've been able to help!

@krystalrose96, he's a 31 year old man and I'm a 19 year old girl, he doesn't take anything I say into consideration because to him I'm "just a little kid" which drives me nuts cause if I'm just a little kid why would he choose to start a family with me? I will suggest he goes to some program before Calin is born and I'm sure he'll agree but won't follow through. Maybe once the baby is here it will be easier to leave because I will want to protect him from that, but you would think I would leave now to protect him cause all it takes is one time and we could lose the baby before he is even born. Being in an abusive relationship is so hard, and when you're pregnant and going through it, I can't even explain how worthless it makes you feel. Nothing in the world has felt this bad. I really really hope Calin can be his life saver, and mine too.

That would piss me off about him not taking anything into consideration because your younger... that doesn't mean anything, age is only a number. I'm 18 and my boyfriend is 25. Everybody has told me that once you have your baby your whole outlook on life will change and that you feel this overwhelming love like never before, so if that's true then you'll probably start questioning things afterwards and start thinking about choices/options if things haven't changed. Its probably hard right now because you do love him and you probably keep hoping he'll change but honestly from what I've seen... they don't change and if they do it doesn't last long. You aren't worthless, Calin needs you... your everything to him because if it wasn't for you then he wouldn't even have a chance at life. Just remember your baby and what you think is best for him and for you. I really hope he changes for you two!!

I know what you're going through to some extent. Early in my pregnancy my boyfriend couldn't take the fact that he may have to slow down on his partying eventually. We got into fights about it a lot, in the past some of our fights would escalate and end up with him shoving me or me shoving him, alcohol changed him and when I brought up something he didn't like he got mad. One early morning after drinking he came home and I got mad cuz it was so early and I spent all night awake cuz I was worried, and we are laying in bed and got mad cuz he was snoring and shoved him and told him to stop and he started hitting me and pushing me off the bed and I'm trying not to fall off and he bit me, I ran out of the room crying and I called my mom in tears. I went back into bed with him and slept until he woke up and asked him if he remembered what happened he said not really, I told him showed him where he bit me and he didn't say anything. I told him how hurt I was that he would do this is to me with a baby inside me, and that he couldn't stay here anymore. He left for almost a week before I couldn't take being alone anymore and I wanted him to come back because I love him. Ever since things have been better and even better after the arrival of our baby. Having a baby does just give you this overwhelming feeling of love even when I'm mad at him I look at my baby and think I'm so lucky to have her in my life. So even if things don't work out with you and him that baby will fill you with so much love you will feel like you will burst and anyone who had hurt you in anyway won't matter

Ohh girl 😔 sorry to hear you're going thru this. I can't even imagine. I can only say best of luck to you guys and hope somehow u find a way, the right way for all of u. I would just want to say don't allow this to become normal to you, cause if it does then it will only keep getting worse. Also if you're having a son that would not be okay under any circumstance for him to grow up seeing this and learning the same from his father 😁 and u as mom need to make this call and decide what's right for all of u. If he cannot control his anger and goes out of hand like that then what can he control and why should u be on board with this. It seems you're way more mature than he is. Good luck girl and I hope things do change. U try your best not to stress yourself so much keep reminding yourself that your baby is now more important hun and hopefully that will keep u strong.
