I hope I don't sound like a bad mom but almost all the clothes I have for my son are used. I have been to many consignment shops and sales and have found clothes that have never been worn or have barley been worn for very good prices. And they are so adorable. I just thinking paying a lot of money for something they are only going to use maybe a few times is crazy. Babies grow so fast. I think this is the best way to go.

everything I got new was on clearance n some stuff used it doesn't make u a bad mom it makes u a smart shopper

you are definitely not a bad mom honestly there is nothing wrong with consignment shopping I see people with plenty of money go so no your not a bad mom it's called smart shopping great job

@delilahsmommy2015, I agree I'm addicted as well. in Raleigh twice a year they have a consignment sale with tons of stuff for kids and babies. I went to the first one of the year a couple of weeks ago and got his whole wardrobe. how could you turn down whole outfits ranging from $1-$3. Some were more but I got what I thought was worth it

🙋🙋right there with you ! The only new clothes we have for our daughter are the ones we got as gifts at the baby shower everything else was either consignment or hand me downs from my 3 nieces...I'd rather spend my money wisely than wastefully on overpriced items she's going to grow out of in a day! ☺️☺️

yes I agree. I am well stocked too. Don't know what he will weigh when he is born so he has a variety of sizes. I'm washing some now. If they look worn out or have stains or are torn I won't buy. He will be a couple months old when summer gets here so I have some things set aside for when I take him swimming :) my mom has been a huge help in helping me pick stuff out and keeping me level headed about things :)

most of the clothes i have are used.... we have bought some but.most of them are used....why not as long as they are gross or torn i dont see why not.

Um if someone thinks that used clothes makes you a bad mom they need to seriously rethink their lives. Your baby will be adorable in them! I have hand me downs and the clothes from the shower. I haven't bought any clothes and I am well stocked through 12 months

It really is. I'm a first time mom and I have gotten so many name brand items for so little. Some still have tags on them. I used to be a daycare teacher working with babies 6 weeks to a year old for many years and I saw how fast they grew.

Baby clothes Where has everyone been buying baby clothes? I think the majority of his clothes I've bought have been from Carter's but I'm thinking I want him to have some more original stuff too that everyone else won't have lol. I need more ideas. So idk if I’m an asshole for thinking this but a girl I used to go to school with is having her 3rd kid and she’s planning a baby shower and she had one with her other two. I feel like a baby shower is something you do with ur first pregnancy. I live far from my family so I didn’t have one but i did have a baby registry and I’m not even doing that with this pregnancy. Idk I just feel like 3 baby showers is a lot! Especially when she gets things handed to her. Idk maybe I’m an ass for thinking that

Probably a cray question to ask, but when did y’all start to wash your newborns clothes and putting them away? Like I’ve been getting clothes since I found out what I was having but I haven’t taken off tags yet or washed anything. I’m 30 weeks. It’s crazy because with my other 3 kids I didn’t really wash a lot of their stuff at first (got lazy) ALSO what laundry detergent did you use if you didn’t use Dreft? Because i saw Pyrex for Baby an didn’t know if anyone tried it??
