Need Advice! I work night shift (11pm - 7am) as a correctional officer in a prison. I was struggling before I got pregnant with the odd hours and lots of mandatory overtime, but now it's nearly impossible to make it to work! I've missed this entire week and several days in the last few months. I can get FMLA but it only counts for dr. appointments and maternity leave. I have a 3 year old so i only get a few hours of sleep during the days and when i wake up to get ready I have morning sickness so bad that I can't do anything. Then the panic sets in and i start shaking and worrying about how I'm going to pull through an entire night surrounded by criminals who could all try to hurt me and the baby at any second, all while trying not to throw up! I've been applying for other jobs but no luck so far. (It's only been a week.) At my ultrasound yesterday, the baby's heartrate was a little high and my Dr. said I need to relax and try to keep the stress to a minimum. So I guess my question would be, should I go ahead and put my two weeks in now and wait for a less stressful job (my husband has a good income so we would more than likely be fine,) or should I keep trying to tough it out? Any thoughts, suggestions, advice, etc. is greatly appreciated as I've exhausted all of my resources! Thank you!

You should put in your 2 weeks . You have to put your health and the baby's first ! I would put in my 2 weeks and just relax . Pregnancy is no joke & if your stressing that bad that the baby heart beat was a concern to the doctor then yea it's not gonna get better .

If you and your husband have talked about it, and you are more then okay with putting in your two weeks. Then I would say do it. Leave on a good note ya know?! It's difficult in that kinda job and it's very important to not stress so much and if the doctor advised it go by it :) hope that helps
