Ok, I need some advice... my 4 year old is misbehaving at school. Her teacher says she is hitting, kicking, punching and picking on other kids. She tells her teacher "no" and doesn't listen. She lost all her privileges at school today and apparently when she is put in time out it isn't working. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong at home or what, but her teacher said if her behavior doesn't change they will bring in a behavior analyst to see why she's acting out.... I don't know what to do.

my son was like that and they even reduced his hours at school. but I decided to change him schools, even though it's just preschool. well as it turns out, he's doing a lot better. sometimes it's the teacher not your child. Try staying one day and observe the class.

@busy_prissy, she's an only child right now and I've never seen her pick on another child ever. I expect kids to kick and hit, but she told me other kids hit and kick her so she does it back. Also, telling the teacher "no" and not listening was a typical kid behavior I thought. She makes it sound like my child is the only one who misbehaves...

I know what u mean. that's exactly How I felt. my kid was also kicking and he even hit the teacher. but that teacher had it for my kid. when he hit her, I knew it wasn't him with the problem because he's really caring. they made me feel like I was a bad mom.

maybe not even a change of schools, but maybe a different teacher is necessary.

@busy_prissy, she's in head start, which comes before pre-k, so there are no other teachers unless I just completely take her out of school. @steph__x0x0 at first everything was good. She had her days where she doesn't listen, but what child doesn't? Like I don't know what to change about the way I discipline her to change her attitude.

@steph__x0x0, her teacher told me if she was in pre-k, they would be calling me everyday to come pick her up because they don't put up with bad behavior. She also explained to me she is picking on this one kid who squeals easily and she keeps making this child squeal... I've never heard of a 4 year old "picking" on other kids lol

some teachers just shouldn't be teachers. that's the whole point of head start and preschool, is to prepare them for kinder. that's what my son's new teacher told me. some of them find it easier not to deal with it.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

Idk what to do. My daughter is excited to go to school each day but when she’s actually in school she’s giving the teachers such a hard time. She is constantly running out of the classroom, throws tantrums, tells the teacher no & refuses to do any work. I’m really trying to hold off on pulling her back out but I have no idea what to do. I’ve talk to her several times, I’ve taken all of her toys away, took tv time away, told her she can’t play with her siblings yet she’s still doing what she wants in school.. this is day 3 and she is reckless. I know she needs to adjust but I’m afraid this will be a on going thing 😕. I’ve requested to put her in a smaller classroom setting with more teachers, she also has an IEP so I’m thinking she needs the extra support & im hoping this works.
