I'm so confused... I have been with my boyfriend for about a year and a half now. I'm 30 weeks pregnant with his baby. In August, we were both retested for stds and both came back negative for anything. (We ended up having chlamydia in June and were treated) Today I got a call from my doctors office saying the std test they gave me last week came back positive for chlamydia. I know I haven't been with anyone and I'm like 99.9% sure he hasn't either. He rarely leaves the house unless he's going to school. I don't know what to do or how to talk to him about this. Things are so much different now than they were when we went through this in June and it almost ruined our relationship then. Now we're about 10 weeks away from having a baby and we live together..I'm scared he's going to kick me out and I'll have no where to go or something..idk what to do :(

Are you sure he is being faithful? I don't think it's normal to just pick up stds randomly or become reinfected out of nowhere...
Actually no it's not common to test positive during pregnancy. Any STD or STI can only be transmitted through sex. However, there is rare cases where women have gotten infected from sitting on dirty public toilets. I think you two should sit down and have talk and don't be scared to voice your concerns... Think about your baby and how it can affect him/her.
We have no idea..I was tested in August 2013 and they said I was clean then but my doctor had missed something else that was huge and she said I was clean based on an exam rather than a urine test. And he had only been with one girl before me and never was tested so we have no idea how we were exposed the first time either @alicia3_18
how Did u guys get it in the beginning with? like did u or he have it to start with?
@sirenita_x3, @2615mommi2b
We took the medication like we were supposed to, he still had symptoms so we did a second treatment then a month and a half later we were both tested negative
Like @2615mommi2b said it could of been the medication didn't completely kill all of the bacteria, they they screen you 4 weeks after the medicine?
I just don't understand how we were exposed to it if we haven't been with anyone else...and I'm really scared he won't be understanding at all. My doctor has to call me back about my liver enzymes being elevated again so when he calls back im going to ask what could be causing it to come back...@sirenita_x3
when u were treated the first time did you take the medicine like u should? maybe it wasnt cured the first time for him or u....honestly idk tho
It's normal to get STI's during pregnancy, any bacteria can trigger it. It sucks to be put in that situation again. But I would lay off the sex for a while.
