at 8 months pregnant I don't really know what to expect, but am wondering if I can get some advice from mothers on getting baby on a routine sleep schedule? I'm concerned about my husbands sleep schedule - he works at 4am 4 days a week at a very physically demanding job - I know he wants to help out with the baby but I also want to make sure he gets plenty of sleep to function at work. any advice on a routine to start, when & on what schedule?

Well baby is gonna sleep on its own schedule, I would suggest if hubby has vaca time he just may need to put in for it at least a week to help you get adjusted, a baby in the house changes things but the best thing you both can do is sleep when baby sleeps and unless it's real important to do, I'd sleep

Well for the first week it's gonna be really hard! but just make sure they don't sleep a lot during the day or they'll get their days and nights mixed up is the first thing (that sucks!) what I do is put my daughter to bed between 7 - 9 when ever she gets tired when she wakes up in the middle of the night I keep her in her room and I don't turn on the light change her diaper in the crib get her out and feed and rock her and she usually goes right back to sleep I put her back in there I also will not get her out of bed until 7 am (7 because it works with my work schedule) that way she knows when to get up as far as a day time nap I have no idea how to get that on a schedule she's never really slept during the day maybe an hour here and there but hope that helps!

You have to wait to see what baby chooses their sleeping time to be LOL

just make sure you wake them up every 2 to 3 hours to eat. you dont want to starve them. sometimes they wont wake up on their own so youve gotta still do it anyway :/
