So this is my first pregnancy and I am 7 weeks and 4 days. My biggest concern is that I am already a bigger woman. I weigh 239 and that is considered obese for my height. I feel like I am already huge and I don't even have a baby bump yet. I am just really concerned about how big I will get and all the complications that come with it. Any advice, thoughts, concerns, or stories of similar situations would be great to hear and ease my mind.
i have always been over 200 lbs with my twins i was 260 and only gained maybe 10lbs this baby i was 305 i am now at 18 wks 298 but i have not had any complications with any of my pregnancies so dont worry too much look on the bright side your baby has extra padding to keep it safe lol thats what i do ne ways
Thank you all so much for sharing your advice and stories. I really appreciate it.
I started at 240 and I'm almost 7 months and now weigh 243 everyone's body is different, don't worry about to much
I know how you feel I was the same way with this pregnancy because I started at 220 but I've only gained 10lbs and I'm 8 1/2 months now. it just comes down to your body I was so scared that I would gain the same amount of weight I did with my first son (50lbs) but I just started off walking allot it helps also just limiting my sugar intake. I know my first 5 months I had terrible morning sickness but after it went away for some reason I've only been eating and craving fruit and veggies and salads smoothies don't get me wrong I've also craved junk food and fast food here and there but trust me everything will be fine if you ever need anyone to talk to about Any concerns or anything you have just @ me
I was in the same situation. I was very careful on what I ate and tried staying healthy as possible with eating. I'm now 30 weeks pregnant and have gained 30 pounds all together. My belly finally looks pregnant too
I'm not in that situation. but there my first trimester I lost 15 pounds all I did was eat super healthy and only drank water. I'd say just try to be extra healthy and many more active. like walk in the morning. it could help. I mean all I did was change my eating habits and lost 15 pounds in 3 months and I've always struggeled with losing weight.
@jrybak, when I found out that I was pregnant I was 251, my doctor didn't want me to gain any weight it sounds hard but all it takes is some determination and healthy eating. during my first trimester I lost 5 pounds, in my second I kept gaining and losing the same 1 pound, now in my third I've lost 4 pounds and honestly I wasn't trying it's probably because I walk so much and lately I've been eating what I want you just have to stay active
