My doctor is talking about possibly having to do a c-section and I'm so scared. I really want another all natural vaginal delivery. Ladies who have had c-section, what was your experience like and what's the healing process like?
are you asking if you feel anything during surgery? @mamabear2023 I can say you are well aware of what's going on if you're awake. I got a spinal block which numbed me completely from the chest down and I didn't feel a thing. The only thing I hated was the side effects of the spinal block, which for me was an itchy face while the medicine wore off, but that's it. I know its nerve wrecking but its also very easy.
@mamabear2023, gotcha. I understand gotta do what's best for the little one. Have your doctor walk you through the whole process next visit to et yet understand what you would be going through. Be sure to ask lots of questions and voice your concerns. Even though hundreds are done daily it's good to remember this is considered major surgery and it carries it's own risks like any surgery.
Have whoever your going to have in the delivery room talk to you the whole time. It goes by so fast. You'll be in good hands :) everything will be just fine. Good thing about a c section, your bundle of joy will arrive in like 30 minutes:)
It's not a for sure thing yet. I'm only 30 weeks so there's still a possibility of vaginal delivery. But they mentioned c-section and I freaked out and wanted to do some research on it. I'll have to do whatever is best for my baby. @californiahaley
@mamabear2023, my sons size measured 2 weeks ahead and his head measured 4 weeks ahead (it's still in the 100th%) I had him vaginally. Why wouldn't they try an induction before going straight to a c section? Sorry not trying to say anything bad about c sections I would personally rather try other options first.
Thank you! I'm not worried so much about pain... I delivered an 8lbs boy naturally with my first. It's them cutting me open and not being aware of what's happening that scares me. @xaviersmommy
I had a c section a month ago. And it wasn't bad at all. And thats coming from someone who's terrified about all that and a big baby for pain. But honestly i loved it. I was in labor for 8 hours and it was the worst for me. The after pain isn't bad. Just take your meds and you'll be good. Healing is going well. After a week of my c section i was up and down like if i never had a surgery done. Dont be scared. I will get another c section if i ever have another baby
I had a c-section with my first baby 4 years ago and will have another one in March. It really all depends on your tolerance for pain. I did really well with the whole process. Its not as bad as everyone says it is.
I gestational diabetes and my son is measuring two weeks ahead already. They're concerned with him being too big for a vaginal delivery. @californiahaley
