Anyone familiar with FMLA? My question is that if I were to take leave now, baby is due Jan 19th, would this year's end at Jan 1st then restart? Giving me a longer fmla because it's combined by the two years? Or would my leave be shortened by 2 weeks due to taking it a little earlier?

The total number of approved days you get is based on hrs you have worked, you automatically get 6 wks, plus you can get an extra 12, I was not eligible for FMLA cause I have only been at my job for 9 mths my last day due to bed jail was nov 13, so I was just approved for medical leave from nov 28 until March 15 and I get a weekly supplement

Yes, that's correct, however fmla resets on Jan 1st. I know I have an approved 14 weeks, I just didn't know if they joined at the years end if you were to have to take it early or not.
