Anyone familiar with FMLA? My question is that if I were to take leave now, baby is due Jan 19th, would this year's end at Jan 1st then restart? Giving me a longer fmla because it's combined by the two years? Or would my leave be shortened by 2 weeks due to taking it a little earlier?

The total number of approved days you get is based on hrs you have worked, you automatically get 6 wks, plus you can get an extra 12, I was not eligible for FMLA cause I have only been at my job for 9 mths my last day due to bed jail was nov 13, so I was just approved for medical leave from nov 28 until March 15 and I get a weekly supplement

So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. Yes, that's correct, however fmla resets on Jan 1st. I know I have an approved 14 weeks, I just didn't know if they joined at the years end if you were to have to take it early or not.
