okay so I just got done with my first appointment. I'm at 7w 1d & I had a trans vag ultrasound. the equipment at my office is old allegedly, so the Doctor said she couldn't find the heartbeat? she was searching around, we both saw pulsing and she agreed that it looked like heartbeat. She then referred me to a specialist. I've had a M/C before...but it was way earlier than 7W...anyone with experience in this?

Sometimes the older equipment won't find one. I had. that issue at 15 weeks. lol and clearly could tell

I had the same thing happen last week. The obgyn didn't do any blood work tried to tell me that I had miscarried and was like you can get a D&C. But then she sent me for an ultrasound and the Sonographer was more optimistic. I had the blood work done yesterday by my Endocrinologist who told me that I was 8 weeks- right where I should be. I actually switched obgyns because of this

@amorello06, as you should! There is no reason why your OB should have told you that! last year, I miscarried… But before I miscarried, I had a very good chance at having a healthy pregnancy. My OB then told me my pregnancy would not be healthy whatsoever… She immediately suggested a methotrexate shot to terminate right then and there. I told her I would think about it. I ended up miscarrying naturally, but I'm glad I didn't go with what she said. It's always better to get a second opinion! This time around, I am at the same OB office, but with a different doctor… Hope she gets the message
